Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers finished the regular season on a blistering 10-game winning streak and will look to keep dominating when they host division rivals, the Seattle Seahawks, to open the playoffs. Brock Purdy’s storybook start to his career continued with a masterful performance against the Cardinals, where he threw three touchdowns on an efficient 15-20. Purdy is now just the second rookie in NFL history to have multiple touchdown passes in at least six straight games.
Beyond Purdy’s brilliance the Niners have also gotten healthy, with Deebo Samuel and Elijah Mitchell returning from injury last week, which could be a scary proposition for a Seattle side that just squeaked by an undermanned Rams team in overtime to clinch its playoff spot. Kenneth Walker III was the bright spot for the Seahawks, notching his third straight 100-yard rushing game – something he will likely need to repeat if they are to pull off the upset.
The 49ers swept the Seahawks during the regular season. They will be the 20th team in the Wild Card era to face an opponent a third time after a SU sweep in the regular season. Those teams are 12-7 SU (9-9-1 ATS).
San Francisco has also won 10 consecutive games SU entering their wild-card game. In the last 20 years, 15 teams have played a playoff game on a 10+ game SU win streak. Those teams are 7-8 SU and 2-13 ATS.
Seahawks are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
49ers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games.
Under is 4-0 in Seahawks last 4 games overall.
Over is 4-0 in 49ers last 4 home games.
Seahawks are 15-7-1 ATS in their last 23 meetings.

Los Angeles Chargers at Jacksonville Jaguars
The AFC South champion Jacksonville Jaguars will enter their first postseason in five years riding a five-game winning streak when they host the Los Angeles Chargers at TIAA Bank Field. It’s been quite the turnaround for the Jags, who only managed four wins combined in the two seasons prior. The hiring of Super-Bowl-winning head coach Doug Pederson paired with new playmakers has driven the huge steps forward taken by sophomore quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
Lawrence finished the regular season eclipsing 4,000 passing yards and throwing 25 touchdowns against just eight interceptions. Meanwhile, the Chargers entered their Week 18 finale knowing they were locked into the fifth seed and would face the winner of the AFC South, however, Brandon Staley decided to play his starters for most of the loss to Denver. That decision could prove unwise as receiver Mike Williams left the game with a back injury that could see him miss this all-important contest.
2022 and 2017 are the only two seasons since 1977-78 where three teams at 100-1 odds or longer to win the Super Bowl all made the playoffs. This year, it was Seattle, New York and Jacksonville:
Seahawks: 200-1
Giants: 150-1
Jaguars: 150-1
Chargers are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
Jaguars are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
Under is 5-1 in Chargers last 6 games overall.
Under is 11-3 in Jaguars last 14 home games.
Chargers are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 meetings.
