Toronto Blue Jays vs Baltimore Orioles
Matt Fargo Sports Pick - This is a play on the BALTIMORE ORIOLES for our Tuesday Play. After blowing a late lead against Minnesota Saturday, Toronto returned the favor Sunday to erase a 6-1 deficit and defeated the Twins 7-6 to salvage one game and avoid the sweep. The Blue Jays hit the road where they are a game over .500 only but come in as the favorites. Baltimore comes in riding a four-game winning streak following a sweep of Kansas City over the weekend and it continues to play steady, slowly chopping away in the American League East where it is five games behind the Rays.
The Orioles remain home where they are 20-12. Chris Bassitt is the big reason Toronto is favored as he has been pitching great. He was hit hard in Minnesota at the end of May but he has allowed two runs or less in 10 of his last 12 starts but his two blowup games both were on the road. Dean Kreamer has been up and down but it has been mostly up.
He did allow six runs in Milwaukee last time out but prior to that, he gave up three runs or fewer in six straight starts, posting a 2.55 ERA over that stretch. Here, we play on teams when the money line is +125 to -125 with a slugging percentage of .500 or better over their last their games and after three straight games where the bullpen gave up no earned runs. This situation is 33-16 (67.3 percent) over the last five seasons. Play (908) Baltimore Orioles.
