The Chicago Cubs head to Pittsburgh on Thursday to take on the Pirates after playing in Miami on Wednesday night. The Cubs are 3rd in the NL Central and have won five of their last ten games. Chicago is averaging 4 runs per game which ranks 23rd in the league. Ian Happ leads the Cubs with 142 hits on the season.
Hayden Wesneski will make the start on the mound for the Cubs. Wesneski is 1-1 on the season with 15.2 innings pitched. Wesneski has 18 strikeouts and carries a 2.30 ERA. Wesneski pitched 7 innings in his last start allowing 1 run and 3 hits. The Pittsburgh Pirates are struggling to find the win column as of late. The Pirates are coming off a very tough road series against the Yankees. The Chicago Cubs are also traveling into Thursday's game but are the better team. NFL Primetime Props – Steelers vs Browns
The Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns are locked in a three-way tie with the Baltimore Ravens at the top of the AFC North, but a win will see one side claim the top spot – at least until Sunday.
Najee Harris Anytime Touchdown (TD) Scorer +140
Najee Harris is looking for his first rushing touchdown of the season, but he has a receiving touchdown to his credit. The versatile running back, therefore, is a choice NFL pick to come up with an anytime TD score.
Who knows, this might be the matchup that delivers his first rushing score, although nobody is going to mind if he scores via a reception. Harris scored twice against the Browns last season.
After two games, Cleveland Brown’s rushing defense ranks fourth in the league with 73.5 rushing yards allowed per game. Getting the score on the ground might be challenging against this group, but if we put the stat into the right context, we see that it’s built on the back of the Carolina Panthers (0-2) and New York Jets (1-1) – two teams that aren’t playing great football right now.
The Steeler’s offense is still finding its feet with Mitchell Trubisky at the helm, but they’re a pretty good team with one of the most respected coaches. The extra motivation for Harris comes in the form of his counterparts and two of the league’s most talked about backs, Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, and the chance to potentially outshine them on their turf. Pick Najee Harris +140 Anytime TD Scorer.

Mitch Trubisky Over 202 ½ Passing Yards
Trubisky’s NFL career as a starter is on the line. The Steelers gave the former Chicago Bears’ first-round pick a chance, naming him as the Week 1 starter even though their choice of a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft is a very exciting young rookie in Kenny Pickett.
After last Sunday’s loss to the New England Patriots at Acrisure Stadium, the fans were calling for Kenny pretty loudly all the while booing Trubisky’s efforts. That has to rankle with the six-year veteran signal-caller but it also puts a lot of pressure on him.
Thus, the onus will be on Trubisky to perform. Anything less than an outstanding game could spell disaster for him in his role as the team’s starter. Going over 202½ passing yards might not seem like a lot, but in Trubisky’s case, it is. By that same token, it’s a bit of a risky bet. But he needs a big game to state his case, otherwise don’t be surprised if coach Mike Tomlin yanks him and puts Pickett into the game instead. Pick: Over 202½ (+125). Bet at Betus 125% Sign Up Bonus.
Chase Claypool Over 39½ Receiving Yards.
One player that really needs to step up for Pittsburgh is Chase Claypool, who has only 12 receptions for a paltry 44 yards. Betting on Claypool to go over 39½ receiving yards is practically matching his entire production on the season, but he could have a breakout game in Cleveland for several reasons.
The Browns rank third in the league with a time of possession at 35 minutes per game. As well, they’re fourth against the rush with 73.5 yards allowed per game. If the Steelers hope to win this game, they might have to do it in the air. Look for the passing game to feature more prominently than the ground game and for Claypool to play a bigger role in it than he’s done up to this point. Pick: Claypool Over 39½ (-105).Bet at Betus 125% Sign Up Bonus.
