The 2022 edition of the Las Vegas Bowl will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV. Allegiant Stadium serves as the home of the NFL's Las Vegas Raiders and the Las Vegas Rebels college football team. The stadium opened in 2020, seats 65,000 and is hosting for the second time.
The Las Vegas Bowl is scheduled during college football's bowl season. The game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 2:30 p.m. ET and airs live on ESPN.
It's important to note off the top that Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson has declared for the NFL Draft and won't be playing in this game. That is a huge loss for the Gators as the 21-year-old accounted for 2,549 passing yards, 654 rushing yards and 26 total touchdowns in the regular season.
Without Richardson, Florida has little chance to keep up with an Oregon State offense that has put up at least 31 points in each of its last three games. The Beavers rank 26th in rushing yards per game (197.9) and run the football 61.3% of the time (No. 11 in FBS). That is not good news for the Gators.
Florida allows over 200 rushing yards per away game this season and Allegiant Stadium is certainly far from home. Look for the Beavers' fan base to travel well here and make a big difference, too. College Football Pick BET ON Oregon State -8.
